[ There's a long flat box delivered to Masrur that afternoon - it's decorated in a brilliant orange, shiny with some patches of glittering red. On top of it is a white bow, and a card hanging from it.

Inside, along with a smart suit (perfectly tailored and colored a light cream with red-orange piping, a matching dress shirt, socks and tie) is a laminated card - it's permission to go to an all-you-can-eat meat grill, one Aspen has taken to him once or twice with a huge variation on the menu. Usually he'd have to go with a Dominant, but the card notes that he can go alone with Sinbad's blessing. There's a polearm there as well, though it has no blade - and with a click to a middle compartment, hidden compartments jut out and it extends to match Masrur's height. It's clearly for sparring, but then, Aspen has alluded to wanting to try and spar a little before.
There's also a pack of no-bake cookies - peanut butter balls rolled in white powdered sugar to make it look like snow, chocolate-hazelnut truffles, and dipped pretzels studded with peppermint candy. They're not the neatest... Aspen clearly had some trouble making them, but they're quite tasty. ]
[ Considering Masrur has been a pretty nice guy from the get go and....is teaching Shinsou...things.... he figured he'd get him a Christmas gift. Except, you know, it's anonymous.
There's only a package with Masrur's name on it left in front of Sinbad's door. Inside is a very long scarf for Masrur. He's very big so he needs lots of coverage, and Shinsou wasn't really sure what kinds of hobbies or anything the guy has, so a practical gift it is! ]
( Unlike the others, Masrur does not explicitly get a package. Instead, the kitchen is full of foods that Masrur loves - although, maybe not outright his favorites from Sindria, they are as close as Ja'far can make them. He also includes a small amount of hand made treats, drizzled in honey and sesame seeds. There's enough for each meal of the day, and some leftovers, with a small package left next to some of the food. Inside, there are three strong pens and some paper, and a note in Ja'far's easy hand. )
With all of the gift giving, I wanted to join the spirit and give you something, Masrur.
I know we have been busy, but I want you to know how glad I am that you are still beside me, even if I do not wish you were trapped here. It has been good, having you alongside us as always, and I am very glad to have your company again.
Don't throw out the pens and paper. We'll use it to practice your writing when we have free time.
